“An evening of superb music” Time Out
Special Guests including LAETITIA SADIER (Stereolab/Monade)
DJs: Rockfort’s Ludo & David spinning 50s-contemporary French tunes
Authors of sparky debut album ‘Automatiq Veux Juste Changer le Monde et Baiser Ta Femme’ (Automatiq Just Wants to Change the World and Sleep with Your Wife) Lille-based bedroom auteur Eddie Liénard-Hanot and his band distinguish themselves through acerbic social commentary and assured marriage of hooky indie rock and electro pop – interspersed with short bursts of scabrous techno for good measure.
Coming over like Crosby, Stills and Nash produced by Boards of Canada, Montpellierain Franck Rabeyrolles (who usually trades under the name Double U
) has merged billowy acid ‘n’ sun-fried West Coast song craft with analogue keyboard sounds, dubby effects and crisp electronic percussion.
A wonderfully inventive, improvisational Franco-Belgian duo based in Brockwell Park.
It’s going to be another fine Friday night in one of London’s finest venues.
Par ici la fête!
