La Féline, who are appearing at the Rockfort night at Rich Mix on 19 November, have announced the digital release of their second EP, 'Wolf and Wheel' on 22 November. It follows their eponymous debut and a collection of remixes, and features six songs including the title track, 'La Nuit du Rat' (a live version of which you can enjoy here) and 'Piropos'.
For the first show of the new series, on Wednesday 3 November, Rockfort is delighted to welcome Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab, Monade) back to the Resonance FM studio for a live sessio and to talk about her solo album 'The Trip'. Syd Matters are playing their first UK gigs in November, supporting Yann Tiersen at Koko in London on 3 November and at the Junction in Cambridge on 11 November and also playing a headline show at The Garage on 4 November. The Pink Floyd-inspired folk rockers, who wrote the soundtrack to La Question Humaine (Heartbeat Detector in English), release their new album, 'Brotherocean', in the UK in February 2011, and it will be preceded by a single, 'Hi Life', on 15 November.
'Glamoure' is EP number three from producer Fulgeance, a label-mate (on Musique Large) of dÉbruit. Four original tracks in wonky or chopped and screwed style (in fact track three is called... 'Chopped and Screwed') are backed by remixes including one of 'Rubiscube' by Rockfort favourites GaBLé. It can be purchased here.
Hot on the heels of their night at Corsica Studios, French Revolution are back and have teamed up with Oui Love for a free night at the Macbeth in Hoxton on 22 October. Another strong line-up features Yeti Lane (risen from the ashes of Cyann and Ben), beats n strings maestro Chapelier Fou (pictured) and sunny geek pop from Boogers.
Having featured on this site recently in her guise as Sexy Sushi's Rebeka Warrior, Julia Lanoë returns as half of Mansfield TYA. They have unveiled a new song, 'Refaire Tout Comme Hier', on their MySpace, and it's the Nantes duo at their sombre, sepulchral best. The track is also available as part of a limited edition pack that includes a 7-inch record with an Anoraak remix of 'You're the Woman' on the B-side, a poster and a MP3 download card and can currently be pre-ordered via the website of magazine Abus Dangereux.

As part of the London International Festival of Exploratory Music, cult French Catalan music-maker Pascal Comelade will be giving his only UK concert of the year at Kings Place on Friday 5 November. The Lilies is a musical meeting of minds between the French group (or loose collective) Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family and Sergio Dias, a member of cult Brazilian band and key members of the Tropicalia movement Os Mutantes. Sun-fried pop is the order of the day on an album that also features guest appearances from Jane Birkin and Iggy Pop. They play their debut gig in Paris this Friday as part of the Factory festival.
